yeah mate, but not to gerroa !!!!!! For a while there it got a bit frustrating, i wasn't making progress, felt like i was getting worse (if that's possible). I dun expect to ever be tearing it apart, I'm 42 this year, hardly at my athletic peak (though i dun remember actually having one) but i'd like to be able to go out on a 4ft day and bag a bunch of waves, do some carving turns etc, feel relaxed and have a blast.

had a surprisingly good sesh at Whale beach on Saturday mid morning fattish tide - nothing at the Wedge but the two banks mid beach were jacking up some shoulder high waves that walled up nice and given it was the only place with a real wave between Warriewood and there - there were only 3 to 8 people spread across the whole stretch - had one peak to myself at one stage getting lefts and rights
No such luck yesterday however -- glad that new swell didn't arrive overnight -- would've been shitty

Plenty of swell up here today. Not sure how long it'll last but I reckon a couple of those beachies Tiges frequents would have been good early. My point was a bit wind affected (NW overnite) but still long, heavy walls at dawn and on the falling tide. Nice morning. Maybe tomorrow too.

had a late start yesterday, after a uni exam, but ended up at box head about 2pm. surfed till dark and got some fun ones, not linking up all the way through, outside peak running for about 150m and the inside bank for about 200 ish. tide was high, bloody high actually, but still throwing out on the take off. this was all finished off with a dusk run across pittwater, which was bitterly cold. fun all the same.

Nice one Trev. Bloody consistent the old Moff's, isn't it. Bugger of a place to take a good photo tho, never does it justice.
How good is this weekend looking. I've got early set-up at markets Tomoz, gunna try and catch Platties on the mid mornin high tide. Other than that I'm sweatin' on the wind getting around to the N, straight over the Island in the boat as soon as it shifts.

Well Platty was pretty fun this morn. Swell is solid, but it still hasn't filled in yet. Swell was a touch too SE for it's size, to be good Plat. Kinda holding up for a long time before it broke, and not a real high tide, so not really enough water over the ledges.
Dunno if I'm getting old and soft, but the water was the coldest I've ever felt it up here. I was fucken freezin' me nads off. Just looked on the bouy data website, and it says the water temp is still up over 21 deg?? I was kookin it big time, with the stiff offshore, and my whole body seizing up.
Tomorrow could be anything. Gunna check Wurtulla for the early, and then wait on the wind to get N in it, and hit the Island.
