Surfed one of the local reefs round here and yep it was small but very round....my 6'3 all rounder kinda board seemed to struggle out there, often the nose or side of board toward the nose would catch on the take off or on the really bowly square sections....this may or may not just be my technique though. Also, this board seems to like the bigger stuff better, and is a little slow to accelerate i reckon.
So i put it to yas, i wana board that gets going really quickly and fits into those heavy ledgy tubes real nicely....
Got any ideas???

depends on if ya wanna test yaself in those conditions or not gunt, methinks if ya go a 10'6" x 23.5" x 3.5" and learn how to get that down the face, you'll be sticking the 6'3" on any take off you like mate.

depends a lot on what you're riding and the actual shape of the break - can you post a piccy of both?
Also have you got the break properly sussed? pretty important on reefs - could make or break the takeoff a few feet this way or that on takeoff.

the wave (on a bigger day.....but same thing) And the boards just a standard 6'3, very plain jane. Reckon i'll go for a 5'10 or 6fter, just a shrunken version of what i got now......the board fucken KILLLED it out there today though...held up reeeeeal nice in the big stuff
