How much of surfboard design is bull ?

Sure some of it i understand ie length width, thickness.

But concaves and v spirals, double concaves, etc etc ?

The PPE has a big concave from knee inbetween the fins, I canna notice a difference at all.

Could it be the shapers think he who writes the most techno babble wins (and can charge the most) ?
