Firstly, welcome to OziSurfing.
This is a community of surf minded bastards that like to talk shit and generally have a good time, we welcome new participants, jump right in, but please read the rules first, the rules are there to help try to make this forum an enjoyable place for years to come, the rules are based on experience and are dynamic, things will change and we'll try to change with the times, you are part of the process, if you don't want to be then maybe this isn't the place for you.
The following rules apply to all sections of this forum, not just this one, some sections have additional rules. These rules are the result of either years of trial and error determining the right balance between freedom and control or too many beers accompanied by a few detrimental blows to the head. Either way your continued access to this forum and its many, many earthly and spiritual delights depends on your willing compliance with the following utterly arbitrary rules.
1 - No outright racism, sexism, bigotry or threats of violence.
2 - Trolls will be exterminated, DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS. - If you troll you lose the right to privacy, I WILL share your email address with anyone and everyone.
3 - Duplicated threads will be merged, check current threads first.
4 - Post in the correct forum, or it will be moved.
5 - No links to external sites till you have at least 25 posts, media links excepted.
6 - No avatars, photos or sigs with NSFW content or any kind of animations.
7 - One account per person, multi's will have all accounts terminated immediately.
8 - Maximum signature picture size 400w x 160 h OR 4 lines of text.
9 - Personal shitfights or persistent hijacking threads will not be tolerated.
10 - Follow moderator instructions, if you want to debate with them use messaging.
11 - No txt speak, this is not IM or a chatroom
12 - Don't be a dickhead, think before you post.
Admin and mod discretion will be used to decide punishments for offences, you might get suspended you might get banned, but you'll never be suspended more than twice, you might not even get suspended more than once.

I'm trying to set up and re-invigorate this forum, I've made mistakes in the past and I can't promise I won't again, some mistakes or fuck ups will occur regardless of anything you or I consciously do, that’s the nature of the beast that is groups online. This forum will only work if there is a shared respect and protectiveness amongst its users.
