had to go to syd for work on fridee so packed the missus, kid and boards up for the journey and kept driving up the coast to the olds for the weekend.
got to gunt's favourite rivermouth (which looked pretty reasonable) on dark so was too late to get in the water for the late, so just kept on driving up the coast to the olds place.
satdy was quite a few around, north wall was 6' with quite a few on it runout tide and breaking out the bar, still being pretty fluey and not having surfed for quite a while I decided the runout tide was a bit too challenging for the way I was feeling. Main had a few 3' sets running from behind the pool into the beach with no one on 'em so paddled out and got quite a quota before the mal riders decided i'd had enough.
sundee stopped into sealies for a coupla dozen on the way back down the coast.
was me first two surfs in about 6 weeks, and had a blast, not really 'superspecialseshs' but noice to be back in the old stomping grounds for the first time in about 18 months, and get some waves at a couple of me old favourites.
