it was a farken shithouse game wands....like most of the recent finals.....the saturdey Germany vs portugal game was a 100 times betta with two of the best goals of the tournament included in that one....ummm.....not that I was that interested of course.... ;D as for Zidane.....the cnut will go down as a legend and I can only think of Cantona's exit that rivals it (ok....outstrips it by miles....a flying judo kick to the spectators head in the stands is pretty hard ta top).....they're reporting over here that that dirty eytie cnut told Zidane that he was "a dirty terrorist and that his sister took it up the arse from family members as well as the rest of the team".....didn't know he was Tasmanian eh.... ;D and regards the local bandwagon.....the first loss using local talent as the core of the national team will test the mettle of the "born again" aussie soccer fans....although me youngen is starting to ask whether I'd like ta go and see a coupla Sydney FC home games.....so I might be pm'n ya about a spot in the cove there wands.....whahahahaha..... and as a last comment......it would seem that every white here in sth africa is hoping that the sth african government and soccer fedration fark up the 2010 games.....they are constantly saying that there is no way they'll have everything ready by the time the world cup comes around in 2010.....hope it ain't true but who knows with the way this joint runs.....

Balders: theres a preseason cup game at WIN stadium on August 6th if yar interested, thought it may be easier for you to get to although I'm guessin travel time would be about the same as to Aussie stadium, I'll be going down to that one. I'm not expecting much from the sky blues in the preseason cup, we havent played any warm up matches, some of the players have only arrived back from the world cup for training this week and we play our first game this weekend.

I'm sure that team cohesiveness will be effected by a lack of actual game time and the arrival of a new coach / manager with little knowledge of players will also have an effect. Lets not forget that whilst we had the leadweight of terms like "the glamour club" around our necks last season (albeit somewhat self inflicted) we had surely earned the title fair and square by the end of the season with only one loss at home all season, and trophies for the A-League championship, Oceania and Australian club champions and being unlucky not to have been up against Liverpool in the club world championships after a show stopping performance against Deportiva Saprissa, but somewhat retrieved from futility by a hard fought win against the best club team in Asia (Al Ahly, Egypt), to claim fifth place in the CWC (out of eight), not bad for a club thats hardly been playing for a year...
I'm willing to admit that the quality of football still has a way to go, but drawing parrallels with the NSL is farely ridiculous, the pace alone makes the old NSL look like amateur day down at the local sports field, and the crowd attendences are streets ahead. I reckon the A-Leagues attendences will easily surpass most Super14 levels and will easily draw level with a lot of NRL matches this season, word on the street is that 10'000 season passes for Sydney FC games is not out of the question, The Cove, which now encompasses 3 bays at the end of Aussie stadium is 2/3rds sold out already, thats 1000 tickets from a potential 1500. The A-League is here to stay, and as long as the jew Lowy stays in control at the FFA things will continue to improve.

wonder if the bandwagoners realise that (I think) there will be fark all of the world cup players in the Aussie team....and what their reaction to that will be....
remember back in the 70's that the NY Cosmos played in Sydney and it was a massive turnout because everyone wanted to see Pele play....they didn't play him in the first half and he didn't start the second half....there was a near farken riot and he had ta come on ta placate the crowd....
seem ta remember something similar a few years back where Rivkin had ta refund ticket money and open the stands for free when half the Brazilian team didn't front for a game...
