i've given up me long range forecasting afer todays performance wands.....weather could do fuckin anything between now and then. Wind was all over the bloody shop today.
So dunno about the local winds but yeah i'd say a noreast swell of some sort is on the cards.......which is good fuckin news.

nah gunt, forecastin dat shit is easy. this one is all ya need, end of story: www.bom.gov.au/products/IDG00073.shtmlvbouys, swellnet, ect ect ect are all meaningless if ya ask me. all ya need is the map and a very basic understanding of it and your laughin......all the surf forecast fuck up cause they try to be to specific with wind and exact heights.......all ya need to know is shit like 'next week could be big from the north'....thats it! then ya know and ya ready and all ya gots ta do is keep an eye on the wind closer to the time to sort out what spots might be on.......

all I can say is that the BOM guys who do the wind forecasts must be high on crack most of the time cause they never get it right.

Problem with that 4 day forecast nubs is that ya cant see if theres any swell comin from real far south, or any from the top of enzed. Which is why i prefer to look at this one: www.metvuw.com/forecast/forecast3day.php?type=rain®ion=swpPlus, it has more pretty colours. Dunno about its reliability though....should do some comparisons, save a 3 days out chart and compare it to what its actually like in 3 days time.

i reckon the 'longrange' swells c**ts go on about that come from 'off the map' are mostly crap.......shit is that variable in the ol tasman that rarely will one of those far off beauties actually make it here unscathed and intact. always seems to be some fucked up thing in between us and the system and then add the narrow window they have to come thru, ya can see why swells over 12 seconds arent that common round this way.........so for 90% of the time the smaller map is fine and besides, when ya use this one www.bom.gov.au/weather/national/charts/OSPpo1.shtml anything that comes from yonks away will at least take 2 or 3 days to get here so its like a midrange surf forecast anyway
