NAh paddle in. Was 6 guys out there this morning all scratching into bombs like this. One of my mates took a few shots of it on his way to work this morning. Its hard to get out on days like this but not impossible. Years ago it used to this size and bigger on a pretty regular basis but then the sand flow fucked up somehow and it stopped handling it. Fucking bullshit wave though when its this big!

Yeah if the sweep is bad enough you paddle out the creek though when its that big the bar shuts down pretty heavily and duckdiving them is a major mission, plus if you don't get past the sets you're almost garranteed to be pasted to the rocks!! Best is to jump off out past the end of the cove and paddle out and south as fast as you can, then once your out far enough keep paddling south until you hook up a wave. The further out you are the less strength the sweep seems to have. Plus when rocking off at the top end of the cove there seems to be a current running out from all the water trapped in the cove, its niot much but its enough to give a little extra help.
